Alchemist Scrap Store, Worthing, West Sussex

Founded in 1990, the Alchemist was a community resource centre, whose main aim from its inception was to divert waste from landfill and to provide community and educational groups with a cheap, safe and reliable source of art and craft materials.

This project recycled and re-used waste from local businesses that would otherwise go to landfill, or need to be recycled by other means.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, the pressures of the current economic situation have forced us to close our doors from November 2011.

We would like to thank everyone who has been involved with The Alchemist
during the 21 years of our existence.
